FS#910 - Pas de boot Xen sur Dell T110 II disques SATA

Le boot de Xen via Grub ne démarre pas sur mon serveur , un Dell T110 II avec 2 disques connectés en SATA sur la carte mère ports SATA A et B (port A bleu, port B noir).
Note: essai réalisé et toujours non concluant en connectant les disques sur les ports SATA B et C (noirs).

Reproduction : installation du SLIS 4.1.4-rc1 Xen , tous les paramètres par défaut, sélection des 2 disques SCSI dans l'écran de sélection des disques; le reste est automatique.
Problème : Au boot, Grub démarre, puis charge le ramdisk, puis l'écran se vide et il reste un curseur clignotant et ... rien.

Note : le boot sur l'hôte sans Xen se déroule normalement ( entrées de Grub alternatives ).

Merci pour ces informations.

La « solution » de contournement qui permet d'avoir un SLIS v4.1.4 (sous Squeeze) dans ces cas-là est:
- installer un SLIS v4.1.3 OpenVZ
- mettre à jour les 3 machines host, vm lcs, et vm slis (cela se fait automatiquement au bout de 48h ou peut se forcer avec la commande lcslise-update lancée sur le host et la vm slis et la commande LcsMaj sur la vm lcs)
- migrer vers 4.1.4 en:
+ remplaçant la ligne suivante du fichier /etc/lcslise-update.conf sur le host:
rsync://193.54.149.33/slis-updates_4.1
par
rsync://193.54.149.33/slis-updates_4.1-squeeze-migration
+ lançant les 2 commandes suivantes (toujours sur le host):
screen
lcslise-update

Cela va télécharger les paquets, migrer puis redémarrer la machine.

Edit: Il est possible de voir les actions en cours dans le fichier /var/log/etch2squeeze.log (du host).

L’installation de SLIS 4.1.3 ne contient pas le firmware de ma carte réseau additionnelle.
Comme du coup je n’ai pas suffisamment de ports réseau, l’installation se bloque sur la sélection de l’interface LAN !

Solution: télécharger le firmware depuis le dépôt Debian (http://packages.debian.org/fr/squeeze/all/firmware-bnx2/download), extraire le .fw attendu (firmware-bnx2_0.28+squeeze1_all.deb\data.tar\.\lib\firmware\bnx2-09-4.0.5.fw ), le copier à la racine d'une clef USB et l’installation peut continuer …

Mise à jour impossible avec lcslise-update.
Le log indique que :
1- certaines clés GPG ont expiré
2- que apt-get upgrade a été activé avec -y mais sans --force-yes
et donc le passage à la 4.1.4-rc1 ne se fait pas.

! Je suppose que c'est plutôt le sujet d'un nouveau flyspray (mais les instructions de mise à jour étant ici, je pense utile d'y faire figurer l'état actuel).

Ceci dit, le SLIS 4.1.3 OpenVZ tourne bien sur le serveur Dell T110 II .

La mise à jour a peut-être échouée car la version 4.1.3 n'était pas à jour: il faut lancer plusieurs fois (sur le host, la vm SLIS et la vm LCS) les commandes suivantes:
lcslise-update
slim-monitor

(ou attendre 72h que cela se fasse automatiquement la nuit, pendant 3 nuits de suite)

Cela n'empêche pas la publication de la version 4.1.4.
